Marianne is a founding Director at The Storybook School.  Prior to opening the Storybook School she was the Executive Director of True Sunshine Preschool, a bilingual program in the heart of Chinatown.  Before her time at True Sunshine she was the Site Supervisor and then the Director of Wah Mei School in the Sunset district, and before that she was a Lead Teacher at Bright Horizons.  She has also taught ESL to adults both in Vietnam and in San Francisco.  She has an MA in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College and an MA in English with an Emphasis in Teaching to Speakers of Other Languages from San Francisco State University.  In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places with her husband and two sons, enjoying the delicious foods that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer, scrapbooking, and gardening.

Jacquelyn is a founding director at The Storybook School. Born in San Francisco, she has navigated through public, private, and parochial schooling before earning her BS from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Initially working in technology, Jacquelyn discovered her passion in early childhood education, dedicating her free time to preschools and an infant center. Her commitment led her to pursue an MA in Education from SF State, preparing her for a transformative 9-year role as Administrator at Angela’s Children Center. She saw the remarkable potential of children in mastering dual languages. Jacquelyn champions a constructivist approach to education for both children and adults. Outside of her professional endeavors, Jacquelyn finds joy in walking, nurturing her salad garden, tackling challenges with a problem-solving mindset, and fostering mindfulness through meditation and books.

Justin is the Board President of Friends of Storybook. He has over ten years of experience in program coordination in the non-profit sector. He has also served as and continues to serve his community as Asian Pacific America in Higher Education (APAHE) Conference Co-Chair and Steering Committee member (2014-2018), Emerging Leaders Program, San Francisco State University (2015-2016), Student Affairs and Enrollment Management (SAEM), San Francisco State University Strategic Planning Committee Member (2014-2015), California Student Opportunity and Access Project (Cal-SOAP) Consortium member (2014-2015), He has also worked/volunteered with youth ranging from pre-school age to college students since 1998.

Daniel serves as a Board Member for the Friends of Storybook. As a seasoned technologist, he is passionate about learning and building within the AI space. He holds a BS in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). In his free time, Daniel enjoys exploring various neighborhoods in the city, playing volleyball and pickleball, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Anne serves as a Board Member for the Friends of Storybook. Anne is a long retired as a teacher and technical writer. Her husband Alex and her are avid fans of the school and are excited to see it flourish.
