When you enroll your child at The Storybook School, you are agreeing to join our community. We think of our parents’ presence as a part of our curriculum and understand there are many different interests and time constraints for families, so we’ll provide a variety of ways for you to contribute and be present with our school community! We believe in a mixed age group and accept children as young as age 2 yrs old. Children do not need to be potty trained.
We encourage you to contact us and take a tour of our school. Currently, in lieu of in person tours, we are offering ZOOM informational meetings by appointment. The best months to schedule a meeting are during the months of September through January for enrollment starting the following Summer or Fall. We generally don’t have Mid-Year openings, but you may email to check for any current availability.
Our tuition rates can be viewed here. If it feels like a good fit then we welcome you to put in an application by February 1st. We will review applications in February each year, and will begin offering Summer/Fall spots to families around the middle of March. A deposit must be paid at this time to secure the spot. Applications will be prioritized based on a variety of factors that we look for including:

- Parent philosophy towards early childhood education
- Demonstration that the family is seeking a Chinese bilingual education
- Parent desire to be involved with our community
- Skills parents have that would help build our community
- Referrals from parents or schools that we have good relationships with
- How the family will add to our Diversity
- Anything else that stands out from the application

There is a $50, non refundable, application fee, which may be mailed to The Storybook School. Please write your child’s name on the check. Checks may dropped off or mailed to 2149 Taraval Street, SF CA 94116. We recommend checks be submitted within a week of submitting the application.
